Never conformist, beautiful and damned, defining Talitha Getty as a simple icon wouldn’t be enough, she literally embodies the spirit of the 60’s. Born in Giava in 1940, daughter of a couple of young artists, after a difficult childhood in Japan during WWII, she arrives in London where she starts studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art to realize her dream of becoming an actress. In 1965 she meets the american magnate John Paul Getty Jr., they’ll get married soon in Rome. With her terrible bohemien mood, Talitha’s style is an innovative mix, a bit ethnical, that will shock the swinging London, of which she would became queen. Her house, and her parties, hosting the best of the londoner scene, are the mirror of that world we call Sixties.

With love, Elena
