The fashion at cinema

sex and the city-vivienne westwood

Joining in a ballet of lights, sounds and colors, fashion and film feed each other, up to create lifestyle. Since the beginning, films influence fashion, and with the passage of time, the relationship between these two worlds became more closely: to separate them now you just have a weak and thin confine. The irrepressible force of impact of a film has the power to influence the way we dress and at the same time can inspire the greatest designers. The suit -pants worn for the first time by Marlene Dietrich in the film “The blue Angel” inspired the androgynous style that marked the collections of Armani, instead the famous shots of Matty Zimmerman, who represent the white pleated dress worm by Marilyn, that get up to the passage of subway in  “the Seven Year Itch”, inspired by Dior dresses. Without particular hesitation we can say that the actress who more than any other embodies the blend of fashion and cinema remains the Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast Tiffany’s “and” Sabrina “: Givenchy dresses, very short bangs, flats, leggings and black sunglasses  have made the actress, an icon of elegance and style. As for the designers instead, the  king is Giorgio Armani who has dressed the stars of over eighty film. Cinema and fashion have always gone hand in hand, amalgamating synergistically, creating style icons, myths, which represent a ‘time becoming immortals. Nothing seems to scratch this strict union that has lasted a century: film is still essential to disseminate trends and fashion will never stop dressing of cinema.
