l’intervista… Andrea Preti.

                      tumblr_l93bjgI3J71qapl1ko1_500

Come? Leggendo quest’intervista, of course.

Io comunque devo tutto a Domenico.

Andrea Preti, born in 1988, in Copenhagen but of Italian descent on his mother, he lived many years in Turin, before starting the work of top model for the main fashion designers. I have interviewed him a few days ago: what about … Beautiful he’s beautiful, not for nothing, his nickname’s “Golden Boy”, and he’s super famous (perhaps more’ abroad than in Italy),he is studying to become an actor (will soon be seen on the big screen) and he’s very clever. He seems to be still single, so girls, do yourself below! But first, however, ‘you have to know something more’ bout him … How? Reading this interview, of course.

1. You have lived so many years in Turin, but now live in NY. What do you prefer of the first and of the second city?

I really like Turin as a city ‘from the point of view of art, architecture, its museums, its culture, but I never found too much feeling with people.  In general I really love the climate of Italy . The United States and in particular in NY and LA, I love the energy that is created when you meet their people, the opportunities’ that can arise from a meeting, I love their theaters, their cinemas.

2. Your first memory connected to the world of fashion.

It ‘s definitely my first job, that I did for Gucci : was a presentation involving the boutiques throughout Italy.

3.Who ‘was your mentor.

Actually ‘I never dreamed of doing fashion. My parents push me to do that. In the beginning I went to several agencies showing my photos, they were so bad that I was not even considered. Then my father let me introduce myself to Domenico Zambelli, he carried me by Bruno, from the D Management, who told me these words: “The pictures are disgusting, but I believe in you.” And from there started it all. However, I owe it all to Domenico.

4. What advice would you give to those who want a career as a model?

The boys should take the lead in that moment you decide to take this job, it always takes perseverance, you have to make so many sacrifices and not to give up at the first hurdle. And above all you have to go abroad: the United States for fashion, are in first place.

5. Far from the catwalks, how Andrea Preti looks?

I’m always very athletic, I love the casual look. If I could I would always wear suit and my favorite designers are Balmain and Tom Ford.

6. The first purchase made with the salary model.

I gave my mom a black lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana and I remember that she came to my first fashion show wearing that wonderful  dress.

7. The  more ‘scenic fashion show in which you participated.

The most ‘scenografic’ was definitely the one of Dsquared of  summer 2012: Every  Dsquared’s fashion show is always an event, and that in particular’ was crazy for the use of lights, the scenery, the show itself ‘. Although my favorite was the one of Dolce & Gabbana dedicated to the movie “Baaria” in which I opened the group. It ‘was a great thrill: will be’ for the music of Morricone, will be ’cause there was sitting in the front row as a great Morgan Freeman, but it will remain’ forever in my heart.

8. Are you always get excited every time you get the runway or after a while ‘it becomes habit?

After a while, ‘that you get the runway, you don’t have emotions anymore, the anxiety disappears, even if the so-called “excitement” there’ s always.

with love, Elena
