Negli anni ’70 Gucci sbarca in estremo oriente.
Scandals, luxury and success, these three words contain the DNA of Gucci. The history of the maison which is nowadays synonymous of fashion, refinement and elegance, but above all of style, starts in 1921 in Florence when the founder Guccio Gucci, a craftsman and dealer in leather goods, founds the company, already shaped for a public of luxury customers. The 30’s saw the first expansion of the maison, the green-red-green stripe, that originally came from an horse saddle, becomes known all over the world. Already in 1938 Gucci open boutiques in Via Condotti in Rome and reaches the overseas customers opening the first shop in New York. In the 60’s, when the double G logo comes to life, the brand is consecrated by fashion world, and the Gucci style is chosen by icons like Jackie Kennedy Onassis, to whom is dedicated the bag “Jackie O”; then Maria Callas, Peter Sellers, Audrey Hepburn; Grace Kelly, Liz Taylor and Samuel Beckett are just a few names of the stars that contributed to the success of the brand.
Gucci looks into the future, but never forgets to keep an eye on its history, the two G, in effect, represent the name of the founder. In the 70’s Gucci arrives in the Far East.
In its glorious way, the lifes of two great masters of style came across, we’re talking about Tom Ford, who during the 90’s re-launched the brand with its classy-sexy features, and Frida Giannini the actual artistic director. The creativity and the charisma of these two AD brought an energy load to the maison whose slogan is “Quality will stay much longer than the memory of the price”.
With love, Elena.
Enjoy my blog!
Bellissimo post!

My Fantabulous World
grazie elisa! gucci sempre top!
Bellissimo post.
