“heroin chic”.

The androgynous look, so in style lately, where does it really come from? Everything was created in the 20’s by the great genius of Madame Chanel, who, very tired of corsets and tight waist lines, freed up the women bodies from every constriction, lowing the waist line and shortening the lenght of trousers and skirts. With her, Jean Patou, created the sailor man jackets, blazers and pajamas for his customers and from now on the critics labelled these young and free women as “garçonnes” from the title of the novel, later banned, by Victor Marguerite. Their look never had a real social impact until 1926, but even in that case it was still reserved to a glamour elite. Everything became more “pop” and glamour, only during the 70’s when Yves Saint Laurent, created the first smoking for woman. From that moment on everything became easier, today you can switch from a feminine look to an androgynous one in very few hours.

    Un bacione, buon fine settimana
