Juergen Teller, instinctive and romantic.

(Henri Cartier Bresson)

When one day a colleague asked him, “But you still shooting film? I can not do it, it would take too much time to choose the best shots” Juergen Teller said, “It ‘s true, it takes me much longer, and that’s why I’m better than you. “Instinctive, simple, romantic, this is Juergen Teller: German photographer that has radically changed the style of fashion photography in the  90s. Grainy photos, taken with an amateur flash and with models apparently “soap and water”. No editing, no majestic set: Teller is the photographer who still works in film format 35 mm. With the same romantic language in the background, unique in its genre, he succeed, with disarming simplicity, to make reality otherwise provocative, in a very naturally way.  Teller is the living proof that photography is not a reality show, shows the idea that you have in your mind. Unique style, simple and instinctive images, dazzling flash who overexpose colors and his camera Contax. It’s an illusion that you ccan take pics with the camera…  you do it with your eyes, your heart, your head. (Henri Cartier Bresson)
