Anna Piaggi. Somewhere over the rainbow…

Ciao Anna.

I’ve only once crossed the whimsical Anna. I was in the Brera, I was going to the grocery store in via Mercato, and I saw coming out from a taxi  a hyper decorated and colored hat, an umbrella, and then she came finally: the legendary Anna Piaggi. I stopped and I watched  her until disappeared from my view, that figure in a Fellini look. Although far from beautiful, had the ability to capture attention as the most venerated top model:she was simply a brilliant star. Suffice it to say that she was the first to discover the vintage a long time ago (more than 30 years), or that was the forerunner of “bloggers” with her legendary “close up” of Vogue Italy, that with a gift crazy synthesis could tell in 4 images and a few words, the theme of a collection or the philosophy of a designer. Now our Anna is no more: not will be seen in the front row at fashion shows, we do not try to search her look in typical “book of dreams” Fellini’s style between shots of the reporter,  wwe wont read her  fashion-pills on Vogue . But we also know, that surely she is somewhere over that rainbow of colors, which in the end is always belonged to her. Ciao Anna.
